Enyimba striker and goalscorer in the team’s 4-1 defeat last timeout in Cairo against Pyramids FC Victor Mbaoma has stated that the team regrets losing scandalously to the Egyptian side after blowing a big opportunity that came in the form of an early goal in the game.
Mbaoma speaking in a chat with brila.net said the defeat was a pill difficult to swallow describing the team’s collapse as unfortunate especially after falling short of their target in the CAF Confederation cup first leg quarter final clash.
“It’s a very difficult pill for us to swallow, it’s difficult for us to explain and all. We started well and at the end of first half it was a draw and by second half we lost it all which is quite unfortunate. We are not happy because we had a target and we have fallen short of it.”
