FC Zurich forward Stephen Odey, Says he’s delighted to help his side to victory over Bayer Leverkusen in Europa league match on Thursday.
The Lagos born striker, scored the winner for Zurich in the 78 minutes of the game to hand his all three points.
The Swiss club opened the scoring through Antonio Marchesano a minute before half-time, However a quick double from Leverkusen’s Karim Bellarabi in the 50th and 54th put the German visitors ahead .
Toni Domgjoni restored parity for the home side five minutes later before Odey got his first Europa league goal for the Club thirteen minutes from time.
Speaking after the game, Odey who played every minute of the game, Says he’s pleased to have scored the winner.
“It really good and it was a very important goal for me and my team, particularly as we got the maximum points against the German side,” he said.
FC Zurich are leading the table with 9 points from 3 matches, while Leverkusen are second with six points. Ludogorets and EAK Lamarca are third and fourth respectively with a point each.
