Determination, grit and a strong bond these are a few qualities why Nigeria’s current Super Falcons are a special side heading into the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup according to midfielder Evelyn Nwabuoku.
The Falcons will make a ninth appearance in the competition and the first since 1999 that there was any real belief they could go past the first round.
It’s a possibility and optimism the team shares and one Head Coach Thomas Dennerby makes a note of to remind the Ladies, Nwabuoku told brila.net.
‘The special thing about this team is that we’re a blend of players with strong character, willingness to win and professionals who know what it takes to play at this level.
‘Lucky enough, we have a Coach who has also been there and he tells us to believe because we’re a crop of good players and he’s proud to work with us.’
