Ex-Super Eagles goalkeeper Enyeama offers advice to Lille’s Osimhen

Former Super Eagles and OSC Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has urged forward Victor Osimhen to stay one more season at Lille before considering moving away from the club.

Osimhen has been phenomenal in his debut season in France notching 18 goals and four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions for Lille.

His fine display has seen him become a subject of intense transfer interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

However, in an Instagram conversation with the Super Eagles Media Team on Monday, Enyeama who represented Lille between 2011 and 2018 believes the 21-year-old has made a name for himself but urged him to move when the time is right.

“I am so proud of him (Osimhen) when you go for shopping everybody asks me if I know him and I say yes. I don’t know him in person but I know him, he’s a Nigerian and we Nigerians are very good.”

“He has made a name for himself, he’s a household name in Lille. I pray he decides to stay one more season in Lille, that’s my prayers for him, if he’s going to leave then it’s time to leave.”

“I am not his agent, everyone has an opinion. I will need to speak to him before I can advise him. Maybe he doesn’t like the city probably, you never know.

“I am so proud of the Nigerian representatives in Lille – Odemwingie, me and him.”
