Eze hurt by Crystal Palace defeat to Chelsea

Eberechi Eze told Premier League Productions that Crystal Palace will bounce back quickly from their defeat to Chelsea on Saturday.

Eze started the game for Palace at Stanford Bridge, but after the goalless first half, Crystal Palace barely put a foot right in the second half and Chelsea punished them.

Sloppy defending allowed Ben Chilwell and Kurt Zouma to put Frank Lampard’s side two goals ahead before Palace gave away two late penalties converted by Jorginho.

Speaking after the game, Eze said his idea did well against a very good team that punished their mistakes.

“It’s not easy [to take]. They’re a good side and they punish you if you give them the chance, so it’s a bit of a kick in the teeth. But we have to go again.

“We want to work as hard as we can and finish as high up the table as we can. So [from] results like today, we just have to move on and keep working.

“It’s difficult because you never want to concede four goals but we worked hard against a very good team. If you give them opportunities they’re going to take them, so it’s tough,” he said.
