Eberechi Eze scored his first Premier League in Crystal Palace’s 4-1 home victory over Leeds United at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
The Nigerian youngster was retained in the line for the visit to Leeds United, and the young midfielder has justified his inclusion.
Eze started his evening with an assist for Palace’s first goal when he set up Scott Dann in the 12th minute.
The former Queens Park Rangers midfielder scored the second himself when he curled in a beautiful free kick in the 22nd minutes.
This is the fifth time Eberechi Eze has both scored and assisted in a single league game and the first time since a goal and assist against Preston in March 2020 (when he was a QPR player), and he has also scored his first goal ever in the English Premier League.
Patrick Bamford reduced the deficit for Leeds in the 27th minutes through an assist from Mateausz Klich, but Helder Costa own goal in the 42nd minutes means Palace would retain their two goals lead going to half time break.
Ghanaian star Jordan Ayew made it 4-1 in the 70th minutes after receiving an assist from Wilfred Zaha to end the match in favour of the home team.
The victory over Leeds United took Crystal Palace to the 7th spot in the English Premier League table with 13 points from 8 matches played.
