LMC players advisor and NPFL legend Victor Ezeji has charged clubs in the Nigeria Football League scene to do more with the security of their teams after a recent spate of unsavory experience by top clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League with the latest happening to Rivers united where the coach of the side have since been declared missing.
Ezeji speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that the security of clubs in the league rest squarely on the participating clubs in the league once they are out of match venues and equally urge the League Management company of Nigeria to incorporate and enforce the rule that will demand clubs having their own security personnel to ensure safety of everyone connected to the team.
“The clubs have to protect their players it is not an LMC thing but LMC too they are the ones making the rules, they can also include it in their rule book to say you must travel with security personnel because they are the ones saying you must provide security on the field of play.”
