Heartland FC and Nigeria’s national team goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has stated that he hopes to see the Super Eagles of Nigeria cross the AFCON 2021 qualifiers finish line early.
Ezenwa made this remark in a telephone chat with Brila.net as the team get set to face Sierra Leone later this month in her third Group L AFCON 2021 qualifying match having won back to back games against Benin republic and Lesotho already in the opening two games.
Ezenwa told our reporter that everyone wants to see their country play at the 2021 AFCON proper and Nigeria is no exception.
He thereafter added that he hopes the Super Eagles can keep intact a recent record of ensuring qualification before the end of the qualifying campaign proper.
“Everybody is here to qualify their country for the nations cup.
“So we just have to do everything possible to make sure we get the job done before even the last game as usual because that has been our tradition,
“We always get it done a game to go and I keep praying for that same grace and favour to be upon this team.”
