Falconets’ hungry for more success – Abiodun

Deborah Abiodun says the Falconets are leaving no stone upturned ahead of their last Group game against Canada.

The Falconets recorded a 1-0 victory against Korea Republic in their second group game played on Sunday.

Esther Onyenezide’s goal in the 83rd minute earned the team a 1-0 victory against the Asians, with 6 points to book their quarter-finals spot.

However, Nigeria will face Canada in their final game on Thursday and a draw is enough to seal top spot for the team, and Deborah says the goal is to secure maximum points.

“We are expecting nothing but victory from the game,” the player said.

“We are taking each game as they come and we keep getting better match after match. After the game against France, we improved and won against Korea.

“Our next game against Canada, we also want to win. The three points is important and we aren’t taking any match for granted,” She told NFF TV.
