Two Primeira Liga clubs Sporting CP and rivals FC Porto are in a tight race to sign Nigeria international Aaron Samuel in the summer transfer window.
Samuel parted ways with CSKA Moscow this week by mutual consent which alerted several European clubs to his availability as a free agent.
According to Portugal media outfit, cmjornal.pt, Sporting CP are negotiating the signing of Nigerian forward Aaron Olanare, Correio da Manhã said.
cmjornal.pt also reported that Samuel could be playing in the UEFA Champions League again as Primeira Liga champs FC Porto are also chasing his services.
The 24-year-old has scored 36 goals in 120 matches since he moved abroad in 2012, and has played for Vålerenga, Sarpsborg 08, Guangzhou R&F, Amkar Perm and CSKA.
