Nigeria’s D’tigers will be back in action for the final phase of FIBA World Cup qualifiers later this month.
According to schedule released by the Basketball Governing Body the final phase of the qualifiers will be played from February 24 to 26 in Alexandria (Egypt) and Luanda (Angola).
The Nigerian team will now face Ivory Coast in Luanda, Angola February 24, before facing Guinea at the Pavilhao Multiusos do Kilamba venue the next day.
A game against Angola will be the last of the series at the same venue February 26.
The D’tigers have won just once in the series and are at the risk of missing out of a place at the World Cup.
D’Tigers, Angola, Cape Verde, Egypt, Tunisia, Senegal and South Sudan will slug it out for place at the mundial.
Ivory Coast became the first African team to qualify for the World Cup which, will be hosted by by Indonesia, Japan and Philippines.
The Ivorian sealed their place at the 32-nation FIBA’s tournament last August.
