Former Nigeria international Finidi George says he is disappointed to miss out on the national U-17 and U-20, but he wishes the new coaches all the best.
Finidi recently revealed his interest in handling any of the national teams, but the former wing wizard was overlooked as the Nigeria Football Federation opted to hire Ladan Bosso and Fatai Amoo for the Flying Eagles and Golden Eaglets respectively.
In a chat with brila.net, Finidi said he’s disappointed not to be considered for the position, but he is confident that the Federation made the right choices in Amoo and Bosso.
“I’m disappointed at the same time no hard feelings. I have to wish them well because whatever they are going to do is for Nigeria,”.
“No matter who they have appointed it is for the good of the country.
“Personally I will wish them well it’s not up to me to put myself there. If you apply for a job you still have people that will take decisions.
“They have appointed the coaches they feel are good enough so no hard feelings,” he told Ifeanyi Udeze on Tuesday.
