Nigeria’s Flamingos have qualified for the FIFA U17 Women World Cup to be staged in India later this year.
The team coached by Bankole Olowookere secured the ticket after a 1-0 aggregate victory over Ethiopia in the final phase of the qualifiers.
The team won the first leg 1-0 on the road, before playing a goalless draw with the Ethiopians in the second leg played at MKO Abiodun Stadium Abuja this Saturday.
The team finished the qualifying campaign without a defeat and they scored scores 15 goals in six matches.
