But since then, it’s seemed as if McGregor is preparing to battle Paulie Malignaggi rather than Mayweather.
Magic Man hasn’t wasted an opportunity in criticising McGregor and the UFC, after believing he was set-up when he was brought to the UFC’s Performance Institute.
Hence, the fact that his sparring footage with McGregor was released has only infuriated him more.
During this saga, Mayweather got the fans talking when he called-out his Irish rival to ditch the 10oz gloves and wear 8oz gloves.
Instead, something McGregor is keen on while the Nevada State Athletic Commission is considering the request.
