Flying Eagles aiming high against Burkina Faso – Muhammed

Nigeria will return to action at U20 WAFU B Championship on Wednesday, in their final group match against Burkina Faso and Forward Ibrahim Muhammed Beji has given assurances that the team will do everything to possible to pick a semi-final ticket.

Muhammed scored one of Nigeria’s goal in the 2-0 win against eternal rivals Ghana in their Group B opener and is in contention to start Wednesday’s game.

The Flying Eagles could finish top of the group with a win against Burkina Faso, and book their place in the last four.

Speaking ahead of the game, Muhammed gave an assessment of the team’s performance against Ghana. He also expressed delight with his goal but insists the team can’t be complacent against Wednesday’s opponent.

“I am happy for the way we have started here in Niger, I am grateful for the opportunity to represent my country, and scoring the first goal of the tournament even makes it special for me and my family as well.”

“We are not in the next round yet, so we would approach the game like the first, we want to win and win well to please the fans back home in Nigeria.”
