Flying Eagles off to flying start in WAFU U20 Championship

Nigeria Flying Eagles began their quest for the WAFU B U-20 title with a 2-0 victory over the Black Satellites of Ghana at the Stade General Seyni Kountche stadium in Niamey, Niger Republic.

The Ladan Bosso tutored side hit the ground running immediately after the blast of the whistle and deservedly took all the three points.

Ibrahim Muhammad and Ahmad Abdullahi have the goal to put themselves in pole position for qualification to the Semifinals.

Muhammad opened the scoring in the 5th minute with a fine finish before substitute Abdullahi grabbed the second in the second half.

The Flying Eagles will face Burkina Faso in their next  Group B game at Stade Seyni Kountche stadium on Wednesday.

A win will guarantee a semi-final spot for the team and a place in the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations to be hosted by Egypt.
