Former Super Eagles and VFL Wolfsburg striker, Jonathan Akpoborie believes coaching is not
just about learning, but talent.
“Coaching isn’t just about learning, it’s about talent. That talent to bring people together and let them play into your philosophy”.
The 56-year-old, in an interview with Brila FM’s Ifeanyi Udeze on “No Holds Barred”, believes
the NFF made a wrong decision in letting Finidi George leave the national team managerial role.

“What I’ve seen with Finidi George, they should’ve allowed him to stay with the national team. With what I’ve seen with him, he’s very good…We need to be objective. They (the coaches) should be given more time.”
Akpoborie, who scored 4 goals in 13 international outings for Nigeria, also wants the NFF to be patient with Chelle and not panic.

“We have started with someone else, and we shouldn’t panic. If we panic, that is the fire brigade approach”.
