Former Super Eagles Chief Coach Lars Lagerback has disclosed his excitement at seeing the Nigeria National team do well in the fast-approaching FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The Swedish tactician shared his goodwill message for Nigeria in a video as uploaded on the Nigeria Football Federation [NFF’s] Twitter handle, @theNFF.

The former Iceland Manager spoke well of his time as the Super Eagles coach and the friends he made during the period as he extends his best wishes to the Super Eagles at the World Cup.

“I just want to wish you all the best in the World Cup coming up in Russia”

“I have good memories from my team with the Nigeria National team, and with all the friends I got in Nigeria”

“So, I hope you continue to prepare well, I really hope to see you play in Russia even though I’m likely to be in Sweden as I will watch on the TV” – Lars Lagerback

The 69-year-old Lars Lagerback was in charge of the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
