Former Eagles forward calls for unity in Eagles camp amidst Mikel’s return

Former Super Eagles forward Raphael Chukwu-Ndukwe has called for calm and more unity in the Super Eagles camp amidst Mikel’s return to the Super Eagles after been included by coach Gernot Rohr in the AFCON 2019 provisional list of players invited.

Chukwu-Ndukwe speaking in a telephone chat with www.brila.net said the players should all have the sense of unity and oneness that everyone is playing for Nigeria’s interest in the national team.
He also added that his competitive edge wouldn’t be anything to worry about considering that he had a good period with Middlesbrough since joining them in the middle of the just concluded season.
“Playing in the championship is even better than playing in China because it is more competitive for him.
I think he is in a good shape, it is left for the players to understand that they are all playing for Nigeria and if Mikel’s experience will help the team, then why don’t we take him to the Nations Cup.
One year is not that too long and he had a good stint with Middlesbrough.”
