Fuming Rangers Coach demand “respect” from referees after disappointing home draw

Mbwas Mangut has refused to publicly criticise the match officials after Rangers’ draw  against Kano Pillars.

The Chief Coach was frustrated after the visitors managed to leave with a point at Rangers adopted ground in Nnewi on Saturday.

Rangers remains in fourth place in the NPFL standings but are already some 8 points behind leaders Rivers United after their latest draw.

“It is very very painful, but this is the team we dominated through out the game, but yet the opportunity to score were so slim. They didn’t cause any problems in our penalty box.”

“And I don’t like to give excuses, but the truth is any team that comes to Nnewi feels at home, than us, but we are still fighting to get the result we wanted.”

“We are not saying the referees should help us, but they stopped all the promising attack and every move is dangerous, they knew it.”

“We can’t be struggling with that and bad pitch. You can agree with me that the boys tried to move the ball around quickly this time, to look for penetration.”

“The midfield to the attacking talk is our technical fault, but we’ll work and improve on that, at the same time, we don’t want referees to come here and think the referees can come to Nnewi and make Rangers look like a small team. No, Rangers is not a small team,”

“Rangers is a team with respect, we want fair officiating, we want to win with our strengths and not referees rubbishing our efforts.”
