Lobi Stars head Coach, Muhammed Baba Ganaru admits beating Rivers United was a difficult job and saluted the courage players.

On Wednesday, The Pride of Benue subdued 10-man Rivers United in a five-goal thriller as Elijah Ani’s stoppage-time winner at New Jos Stadium sealed the win.

 

Baba Ganaru’s team have now built a six-point lead at the summit of group B.

“Playing against the current champions who are at the same time playing in the continental is a difficult one, but we’ve put in our best and the result is what we all see,” he explained after the game.

Reacting to the outcome of the game, Elijah Ani described the victory as a great feeling

“The most important thing is we needed the three points and we got it,” He maintained.
