Genk coach John van den Brom is delighted to see Paul Onuachu end his goal drought on Sunday.
Onuachu failed to score in Genk’s last five game, before scoring in the 6-2 demolition of Zulte Waregem on Sunday.
All eyes will be on gangling forward again as he will lead the attack for the Belgian side in Thursday’s Europa League game against West Ham United at the Luminus Arena in Genk.
Genk were beaten 3-0 in the reverse fixture played in London last week and they must take maximum results at home to stand a chance of progressing to the next round.
“First of all, it’s very important that paul score for himself, and he already scored 10 goals for us this season. All the goals, that he made for us are very important also for the team, for the club, for the supporters and for me as a coach, and I was very happy for him and also for the team that he scored last Sunday.”
“I hope that he will continue that tomorrow” John Van den Brom said in the pre match conference on Wednesday.
West Ham top group with nine points, after three wins from their last three games, while Genk has just three points from the same number of games.
