Genk’s manager Wouter Vrancken disclosed that Paul Onuachu is still adapting to his style of coaching, but expected the striker to be back to his best sooner.
Onuachu got his goal of the season in 2-1 come back win over Oostende on Sunday.
Genk first fell behind during game, before Onuachu grabbed the equalizer, and it was his first league goal of the season after 9 match days.
While some section of the media criticised the former Golden shoe winnier for his slow start to the campaign, Wouter jumped to his defense, saying, the striker is in a moment of adaptation to new brand of football.
“For him it is a different system than in previous years and that is adapting for him.
“But he is not only busy scoring goals, he also works hard for the team and then the goals will come, he knows that himself also.” quoted on www.voetbalkrant.com.
