Georgia gifts UEFA Nations League prize money to organizations helping children with cancer

The prize money that Georgia gained from winning Group 1 of UEFA Nations League D will benefit three charitable organization that has been helping children with cancer, following a decision by the team and national association.

The GFF decided to use part of the money for bonus payments to players, with the rest allocated to charitable causes.

 

The Georgian Football Federation (GFF) and the Georgian national team have distributed 300,000 Georgian lari (approximately €98,660) evenly among the three charitable organizations in Georgia.

 

Though Georgia won Group 1 of the UEFA Nations League D, they have lost their opening 2 games in the Euro 2020 qualifier.

 

Georgia is scheduled to play Gibraltar and Denmark on the 7th and 10th of June, 2019 in the Euro 2020 qualifying round game 3 and 4.
