Nigeria table tennis sensation, Aruna Quadri suffered a defeat in his first game at the German Table Tennis Bundesliga.
Quadri, who is the world number 20, made his debut for RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell was beaten by Kilian Ort 3 – 1 in the TTBL match on Sunday.
The game ended with Kilian Ort thrashed Quadri Aruna 3 – 1 (3 – 11, 11 – 8, 11- 7, 11 – 9) to hand the victory to his club TSV Bad Königshofen.
Aruna had a dream start to the game after taken the first set 11 – 3, before TSV Bad Königshofen’s Kilian Ort bounced back to take the second set 11 – 8.
Kilian Ort stretched his lead to 11 – 7 and sealed the opening day win for his side with 11 – 9 match points.
Aruna Quadri who joined TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell from Portuguese Club, Sporting will be hoping to bounce back from this defeat in his next game.
