Gernot Rohr, Benin Rep. MNT job not Done

Sequel to the news widely reported that former Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr has been appointed as the new coach of the Squirrel of Benin Republic.

BRL exclusively gathered that Rohr is yet to officially put pen on paper to become Coach of the Squirrels.

Conversations between Rohr and the West African nation’s FA as well as the Ministry of Sports will conclude on the finer details of the contract before an official announcement will be made.

Beninoise Football Federation president, Mathurin de Chacus, the Minster of Sports in Benin, Oswald Homeky and Gernot Rohr will be in attendance for the round of talks.

According to BRL sources, the Frenchman is keen on returning to management, having been out of the job since he was sacked by the Nigeria Football Federation.

News of the 69 year-old returning to the dugout broke, and the initial indications reported that deal had been signed and agreed.
