Gernot Rohr defends his Super Eagles record

Super Eagles Gernot Rohr is not happy with criticisms is getting from some section of Nigerian media.

The Franco-German tactician who has been under pressure in the past few weeks, believes he has good records with the team and deserves better treatment.

Rohr still has a year left on his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation, but his future remain unclear at the moment.

Several reports claimed he’s been advised to step aside from his role, after the home draw against Cape Verde in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

“We played eight qualifiers including two for Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the remaining six for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.” Rohr was quoted on NationSport.

“Altogether, we had six victories, one draw and one defeat. But don’t forget we won all the four away games. So sometimes I don’t understand ”. He said.

Rohr was hired in 2016 and he led the Super Eagles to third place finish at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
