Rivers United coach Stanley Eguma heaped praises on Godwin Aguda after scoring against Rangers International on Sunday.
Aguda became an household name in the Nigeria professional football league after four successful years with Rangers, but all that counted for nothing last Sunday as he netted the winner against his former side in Enugu.
Aguda has now scored five goals in this season’s Nigeria professional football since making his debut for the Pride of Rivers, he also scored twice in the Caf Confederation Cup, before their elimination.
Speaking to the press, Eguma however was full of praises on his star forward and believed he’s playing his best football with Rivers United.
“He had to show that he is a very important player when he left here and he is still very important.
“He has proven that and it’s good that he is playing for a good team that he is able to expose his skills, express himself and then make a name for himself.” he said in Enugu.
