Enugu Rangers interim Coach, Chukwu Agbo has blamed fatigue and hunger for his team’s defeat against Zesco United in the second-leg of the CAF Confederation Cup play-off.

Agbo said the team arrived the match venue two hours before kick off and only had bananas to eat.

Zesco United defeated the Nigerian League champions 3-0 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, and 5-2 on aggregate after a 2-2 draw in teh first-leg.

In his post-match remarks, Agbo said ‘ If not for the silly goals we conceded, we could have gotten a result.

‘ I told my players if Zesco could score two goals in Enugu, that we could do the same to. But You know we can’t cheat nature, nobody can.’

‘ I  had to rest my best players to conserve their energy because the Zambians are Athletic and you need strength to play them.’
