Women’s Table Tennis doubles Gold medalist Cecilia Akpan has revealed that the semi final win over Egypt enroute  to winning Gold was one she couldn’t really forget so easily because they had to hold their nerves to win 3-2.

Akpan speaking in a chat with brila.net said the semi final win over Egypt was scary after almost blowing what looked like an advantage from been up 2-0(7-3) at some point within touching distance of winning to been levelled at 2-2.
She further added that the Gold medal victory was also an assurance that she still has more to offer in the game.
“I feel great and I so much thank God that my handwork and good training has really shown over here. So I feel so happy knowing that I am still very good irrespective of the years back.
“Honestly  when we were leading 2-0 (7-3) I was thinking that with this we are winning, suddenly it changed and were were tied on 2-2. Honestly I was like God what is really happening!”
