Nigeria U-17 MNT, Golden Eaglets, defeated Togo 4-0 to qualify for the semi-finals at the ongoing WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship.

Nigeria dominated from the start and despite the poor pitch conditions, the Golden Eaglets showed no signs of fatigue and delivered a strong performance.

They the scoring in the 11th minute through Abdulmuiz Adeleke, Rapha Adams doubled their lead in the 35th minute, and Adeleke made it 3-0 by the 57th minute.

Manu Garba’s side had a chance to make it 4-0 in the 68th minute after winning a penalty following a handball in Togo’s penalty area.

However, Adeleke failed to capitalize on the opportunity to secure his hat-trick.

Despite only needing one point to progress, the Golden Eaglets got a win and also finished atop their group and avoiding a clash with host country Ghana.
