Gombe United boost its chance of surviving relegation with a dramatic 3-2 win over Plateau United at the Pantami Stadium on Monday.
With the game heading for a 2-2 draw, the Scorpion boys scored 95th minute winner to beat the Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side in a thrilling encounter.
Anayo Ogbonna gave the hosts the lead inside opening 12 minutes, but the lead last only six minutes as Albert Hillary restored parity for the Peace Boys.
Gombe United were back in front again five minutes later, this time, it was Rahman Olarenwaju who did the damage.
The visitors however responded by pushing for an equalizer, which finally arrived off the boot of Moses Adikwu in the 47th minute.
The scores remain that way, until the referee awarded the hosts a penalty in the last minute of the added time and Mohamadou Souley graciously converted the kick emphatically.
