Good News! Napoli gives Victor Osimhen Injury Update

Victor Osimhen will be available for Napoli’s league clash with Fiorentina on Sunday, according to the Club.

Napoli raised concern over the Forward’s fitness after limping off from Wednesday’s training session and was later assessed by the medical staff.

The test shows the striker is not injured and will be fit enough to take part in the game against I Viola at the Diego Maradona Stadium.

A club statement read:

After complaining of a feeling of discomfort during training yesterday Victor Osimhen was seen to by the club’s medical staff.

The Nigerian forward underwent tests and it was determined that he hadn’t suffered an injury.

Today Osimhen followed a personalised schedule in training, covering gym and pitch work.

Osimhen has played a key role for Napoli this season, scoring 15 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions, despite spending nearly two months on the sidelines due to a cheekbone injury.

Heading in this weekend’s league fixtures, Napoli are just one point behind table leaders Milan with seven round of games left remaining.

Napoli have only win the Scudetto twice in their history and the last time Gli Azzurri were inspire to the title by Diego Maradona.
