Former Eagles goalie, Greg Etafia has submitted that both Kaizer Chief’s Daniel Akpeyi and Katsina United’s Ikechukwu Ezenwa are good replacements, should the incident affects Uzoho’s confidence between the sticks.
Speaking with www.brila.net, Etafia also added that all they need is the technical crew, led by coach Gernot Rohr to give whomever he chooses the confidence to adequately do well in action for the national team.
“Akpeyi has been doing very well here in South Africa, same with Ikechukwu Ezenwa. Both keepers have been doing well and they can continue doing well”.
“It’s just about the confidence as well as the opportunity, I believe the coach should stand behind them because any opportunity you give your goalkeepers, you surely need to show them that they have your approval”. he concluded.
Uzoho was accused of forging documents to obtain his health certificate, saying it was issued even before the goalkeeper arrived in Cyprus.
The 20-year-old joined Anorthosis on short term loan from Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna on January 31.
