Henry Abiodun quits as Sunshine Stars Boss

Sunshine Stars of Akure Caretaker manager Henry Abiodun has announced he has parted ways with the Club, bringing an end to his 6-year employment with the Ondo State Football Agency.

Abiodun replaced Duke Udi who was sacked in the middle of the 2018, he was able to steady the sinking Sunshine Stars before the league never resumed from the World Cup break.

 

However , following the decision of Ondo State Football Association to disband the players and technical crew weeks back , 50 year-old Makinwa decided to end his six year marriage with the Agency.

 

The former technical instructor of ODSFA said hid current deal ends in December but he chose to call it a day with the Nigeria Professional Football League side with two months left on his deal.

 

“After due consideration, I decided to bow out from the Ondo State football Agency job as Sunshine Stars and the agency’s technical director,” Abiodun told Goal.

“My contract ends in December but after the dissolution of the players, coaches and backroom staff, it only makes sense that I move forward.

“I am now a free agent at least for now. I have made my decision known to the chairman today [Saturday]. I now wait for my entitlements to be paid as quickly as possible.”
