General secretary of the Handball Federation of Nigeria Haruna Maigidansanma has stated that the HFN will eventually reap the benefit of the many youth initiative programs which has helped readjust the average age of players in the national team.

And with the second phase of the Handball league billed to start on the 4th of October 2019, the Handball Federation scribe said in a chat with www.brila.net that the senior national team will benefit while the HFN also hope to see an improvement in the standard of play in the league.
“We have a consortium of players that caught across an average age team in terms of age, so these are young athletes who will continue to maintain the tempo. So we are only looking at improving on our standard.”
