General secretary of the Handball Federation of Nigeria Haruna Maigidansanma has stated that the Federation intends to fully consolidate on the gain of having some distinguished players of the victorious cadet team feature for the senior team currently preparing for the All Africa Games in Morocco.
Maigidansanma speaking in a chat with brila.net said the Federation is getting things right with the youth teams and intend to fully utilize the opportunity to hand the junior players spots in the senior team to further open them to bigger challenge and help raise a future team in the process.
“I think we are getting it right, what is left is just a matter of consolidation. We have a collection of players present in the camp for the Africa games in Morocco and these collections were there at the cadet Qualifiers in Burkina Faso as well as the just-concluded IHF tournament in Guinea.
So some of the ones who also distinguished themselves have their space in the Africa games bound Handball team. So the future is bright.”
