President of the Handball Federation of Nigeria Sam Ocheho has stated more assuredly that Nigeria’s U21 junior men national team will be at the 22nd edition of the International Handball Federation Junior men world cup in Spain after the draws for the world cup was conducted on Tuesday.
Ocheho speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Federation is still working tirelessly to ensure they secure necessary fund to help the smooth running and execution of the championship.
He added that it’s been a brick wall from the ministry in terms of finance.
“We are getting closer to the world cup in Spain, this weekend the league will end and two weeks time we will be in Georgia for the IHF emerging nations tournament which will serve as a semi preparatory tour.
IHF will be responsible for the ticket which makes life easier. We are still looking for a fund. But we will as a board ensure we get Nigeria to attend this world championship in Spain.”
The Nigeria U21 team will be hoping things work out to fulfill the dreams of playing at the world cup.
