HFN scribe Megidansanma rues Handball world cup and Olympic miss

General secretary of the Handball Federation of Nigeria Haruna Megidansanma has rued Nigeria’s imminent failure to qualify for the 2021 world handball championship as well as the Handball event of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games following the inability to make it out of her nations cup group in Egypt.

Megidansanma speaking in a chat with www.brila.net from the competition base in Tunisia after Nigeria defeated Libya 31-24 in her final group match described the missed spots as unfortunate considering the level of work and effort put together to prepare the team for the Africa nations cup.
He, however, added that it wasn’t all gloomy as Nigeria achieved breeding of new talent and an improved outing compared to two years ago where the team lost all group matches.
“It’s very unfortunate although we have achieved our objectives by trying to bring new bred into the national team but notwithstanding we are just unlucky especially this time around regarding all our commitment to ensure that we come for the camping tour.
However, part of all these is to build emotional stability. We have put that one to the past so we ride on to focus on our next agenda.”
