The Bankole Olowookere girls thrashed their Democratic Republic of Congo 3-0 in the first leg of the CAF second round FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa on Sunday.
The Flamingoes to control of the of the game, thanks to Blessing Emmanuel’s strike in the 36th minute.
Oluwatunmininu Adeshina made it 2-0 six minutes after hour mark, before Opeyemi Ajakaye completed the rout in the 77th minute.
The Flamingoes will now take their advantage in to second leg in two weeks time in Benin City.
