Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi played all 90 minutes and helped to help West Bromwich Albion to a 3-2 away win against Birmingham City in the Championship on Saturday.
The former Arsenal defender was was at the heart of the comeback win for Slavian Billic’s men at the Saint Andrew stadium.
Birmingham raced to the lead in the 3rd minute through Lukas Jutkiewicz , but Grady Diangana equalised for West Brom seven minutes later.
Birmingham took the lead again in 47th minute through Harlee Dean, West Brom again responded in the 73 minutes through Charlie Austin.
However, with nine minutes remaining in the game, Austin grabbed his brace and West Brom’s third, to seal all three points.
Birmingham could have snatched late equaliser but Ajayi was there to make a timely intervention to deny them.
West Bromich Albion remain on top of the championship ahead of Leeds United who will play on Sunday.
