“Huesca’s behavior constitutes gross misconduct and discrimination”, Players’ body defends Nwakali

The Spanish Players’ Union have jumped into the defence of Kelechi Nwakali, after being suspended by his Club Huesca.

Nwakali recently was handed an indefinite suspension without pay by Spanish Segunda B, for returning late to training, after featuring in the African Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles.

However, fresh facts as per Football Espana revealed that the midfielder was ill at the time and was advised by the doctor not to travel.

It was gathered that, Nwakali and his team notified the club about his health status and the reports of doctor, who advised him not to fly and to keep testing until his symptoms cleared.

It is unclear why the Club decided to take such action against the player, but the Spanish Players’ Union (AFE) is now involved in the case and they’ve accused Huesca of committing procedural breaches in the opening up of the case against Kelechi.

They claim the club have no grounds to suspend him indefinitely and their behaviour constitutes gross misconduct and discrimination against the player.

Nwakali’s contract with the Club with enter in the summer and both have parties aren’t willing to continue the relationship.
