“I did all I could to stop him”, Alderweireld on failing Onuachu test

“I did all I could to stop him”, Alderweireld on failing Onuachu test

Royal Antwerp’s Captain Toby Alderweireld rues his side defeat to Paul Onuachu’s Genk in the Belgian Jupiler league top of the table clash on Sunday.

Alderweireld insists his side did enough to earn something from the game, adding that a loss of concentration at the back allowed Onuachu snatch the win for Genk.

Onuachu scored twice as Genk stunned Royal Antwerp 3-1 in front of their fans.

The Nigerian striker scored headers in the game, something Alderweireld said should not have happened.

” We create enough, are the boss and have to get more out of this. If we analyze our game, it was also very good at the back.”

“Only very sour that we do not enter the duels on the stationary phases. I won almost every duel during the game with Onuachu.

“On a stationary phase, I’m not around once and Onuachu goes in and scored,” Alderweireld concluded.
