Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye is delighted with how the season is going for him and his Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam.
The 21-year-old joined the Dutch Eredivisie side back in July but made his first-team debut in October.
Since his debut, Okoye has kept three clean sheets and also helped the club move up in the table from the relegation position.
Speaking to AOIFootball.com, Okoye attributed his run of form to hard work and the will of God.
“I think hard work is always paying off, it’s just a matter of time and a matter of God’s planning and timing. That’s why I trusted my process and kept on doing my thing and will continue to do it.
“It’s important that I am in a good position with my team after a difficult start to the season for us. The last few months have been amazing for me and the squad so I just want to help the team and achieve our goals,” Okoye added.
With Okoye in goal, Rotherham moved from 18th on the log to 9th with 12 points from their opening 11 league games.
