Kenneth Omeruo says he has enjoyed every bit of the journey with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Omeruo earned his 60th cap for Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea Bissau in last international window.
The Center back captained the team, and marked the occasion with three points and a clean sheet.
“Privileged to have played my 60th cap for the Super Eagles. All glory to God for the victory.
“I never thought I would even get one cap for Nigeria, let alone 60,” Omeruo said.
“It has been a long road – a load of ups and downs – but it has been worth every single second. I never thought I would get here, so I am really happy.
“When you are in the pressure pot, the mixer, you don’t really have much time to think about records, you are on to the next job or the next fixture. They come thick and fast.
“I am sure there will be a time when I will reflect on that.”
