Tokyo 2020 Olympics Games Bronze medalist, Ese Brume has expressed gratitude to her coach Yahaya Kayode and everyone who supported her dream in Tokyo.
Brume won Nigeria’s first medal at the game when she leap 6.97m in the final of Women’s long jump.
She finished behind Malaika Mihambo of Germany who won gold with a leap of 7.00m and Britney Reese of the USA with a leap of 6.97m.
While reacting to her success, Ese highlighted all the obstacles she overcome to win the medal and she also thanked her coach, friends and entire Nigerians for their support.
“I’m super excited about this. I just don’t know how to express how I’m feeling right now.”
“I’m not just an Olympian, I’m an Olympic medalist. It’s an amazing and excing moment for. It wasn’t an easy journey for me.
“There was ups and downs, in the middle of the season, I was injured, I had to take a while to overcome that. I was able to get myself, I broke the African record, National record and I have Personal best to myself. “
“It wasn’t an easy, but I was able to make it with the help of my coach, family and Delta State Government and the Ministry.” She said.
