Huddersfield Town’s Phillip Billing has turned down the opportunity to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria after committing himself to Denmark.
The Denmark U21 international is eligible to represent both Nigeria and Denmark but he is yet to receive a senior international cap for the Scandinavians.
”No, I see myself as a Dane, and I also play for the Danish U21 national team. So no, I have not thought of that if I’m to be honest,” said Billing to Danish newspaper BT.
The 22-year-old Billing has started all the thirteen matches played by Huddersfield Town in the Premier League this season.
