Head coach of the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, Stuart Baxter has revealed that he wants his side to continue with the same character his players showed by qualifying for the AFCON against Libya when they get to Egypt for the tournament proper next month.
South Africa and Nigeria both qualified from the same group, even as they will battle Morocco, Namibia and Cote’d Ivoire in Egypt.
Speaking with www.brila.net, Baxter said he would also love to combine the character with flair, something he believes will be their identity in Egypt.
“It’s been long we had a squad that showed the character that this present squad showed in Libya to get through so I hope that we can continue to develop that character”.
“We also need to combine that with the undoubted natural flair of the South African team, I would love to think that we can develop that identity, it would be something the South Africa fans would like to see in Egypt”
