Ibrahimovic getting ready to return to training with Milan on Thursday

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is getting ready to return to training with AC Milan, a report claims, and he has one particular target in mind before the season ends.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today (via MilanLive), after a long stay at home due to the Coronavirus emergency, the Swede is now expected to return to Milano by Thursday.

The 38-year-old is ready to try and achieve another objective in his illustrious career: he wishes to hit double figures in goals before the season concludes. For 15 consecutive years the Scandinavian champion – when playing at least 10 games – has reached or exceeded that amount.

He currently has four goals in 10 appearances for the Rossoneri, so he will have to score six in 12 league games (plus possibly the final of the Coppa Italia) in order not to deny himself.

The statistics show that Ibrahimovic is the best Milan scorer of the last 10 years, with a 60 goals in total thanks to his latest additions in 2020.

Only three times has he gone below the aforementioned threshold: at Manchester United when he closed with a single goal due to injury, at Malmo at the beginning of his career with 3 goals on 12 appearances and with Ajax when he stopped at 9 goals in 33 appearances.
