Odion Ighalo is gearing up for the World Cup qualifiers against Ghana as he netted a hat-trick for his Club on Friday night.
The experienced forward who is included in Austin Eguavoen’s squad for the two-legged playoff clash scheduled for Kumasi and Abuja led Al Hilal to a 4-2 win over Al Ahli in the Saudi Arabia Pro League on Friday.
He opened the scoring in the 11th minute before getting his second to make it 2-0 to Al Hilal.
Ighalo completed his hat-trick with Al Hilal in the first half added time as the Asian Champions went into the break 3-0 ahead.
It was his first hat-trick for the club since signing for them in January and he’s netted seven in six league matches for them in total.
It is a perfect way to announce his readiness for the game against Ghana and the Super Eagles coaches would be hoping to see him replicate the form in Kumasi.
Ighalo is expected to partner another in form Victor Osimhen in the attack for the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoffs.
